Selection
Who may be suitable?
Preservation is useful only when the joint is still salvageable.
Possible candidates
- Early AVN without major collapse.
- Selected FAI/labral problems.
- Younger active patients where natural hip protection is realistic.
Not ideal when
- Advanced arthritis is present.
- Femoral head collapse is severe.
- Pain and stiffness are better addressed by replacement.
